Camilla Somers

Camilla Somers serves as Chief of Staff and Director of Operations at the Alliance for Higher Education. She manages programmatic and operational initiatives within the President and CEO’s office and for the broader Alliance. 

Somers brings to the Alliance extensive experience in project management, strategy development, and grantmaking, having worked at major philanthropies supporting higher education and at international development and humanitarian agencies. She began her career as a local news editor and reporter. 

Somers earned an A.B. from Smith College and a Master of Public Administration from New York University. She serves on the board of the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Education Fund.
